About the Role
The Senior Specialist II, Managed Cloud Services role is a critical position within NextGen Healthcare's cloud services team. As a key resource for providing technical expertise and support, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's cloud infrastructure, as well as providing troubleshooting and technical guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. This role will involve working closely with the implementation team to ensure seamless transitions for hosted clients, as well as collaborating with technical leaders and experts to develop and implement network security measures.The Senior Specialist II will also be responsible for monitoring server performance, implementing and operating server, storage, and backup infrastructure systems, and migrating, restoring, and configuring SQL databases between data centers. This role will require a strong understanding of cloud computing, database management, and systems integration, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As a key member of the cloud services team, the Senior Specialist II will be expected to participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution, as well as managing the internal shared confluence site for internal reference materials. This role will also involve facilitating project turnover and ensuring that hosting client projects transition smoothly from implementation to client success.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure seamless transitions for hosted clients
- Develop and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
- Monitor server performance and implement adjustments as necessary
- Implement and operate server, storage, and backup infrastructure systems
- Migrate, restore, and configure SQL databases between data centers
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
- Manage the internal shared confluence site for internal reference materials
- Facilitate project turnover and ensure smooth transition of hosting client projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on cloud-based services
- Collaborate with technical leaders and experts to develop and implement technical solutions
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in cloud-based computing
- Experience with NextGen Healthcare Practice Management, Electronic Health Record, or other PM systems and workflows
- General healthcare experience in Acute or Ambulatory settings
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud-based services experience
- Project Management experience (Mavenlink preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- AWS or Cloud-based certification
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, database management, and systems integration
- Proficiency in SQL and technical tools such as Sales Force, SAP, Confluence, Jira, PowerBI, and Mavenlink
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with other cloud-based services, such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Certification in ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools
