Job Description

About the Role

The Senior SRE - DevOps role at Amadeus is a critical position that requires managing the evolution of the Amadeus API Management portal. This involves working on all products delivered by AWS, mainly focusing on the Developers Portal, which is the platform to expose and consume Amadeus APIs. The successful candidate will contribute to making IT the new business enabler and the foundation of a more ambitious global platform at the company level.

As part of the API management (AMI) organization, the team fosters the development, operations, promotion, and efficient consumption of Amadeus services exposed to internal and external entities. This allows Amadeus to participate in the advent of digital transformation by enabling and boosting Amadeus Digital Channels.

What You Will Do

  • Manage application operations for Amadeus Core Services end-to-end.
  • Manage the full application stack, including OS, databases, data stores, application links, virtual networks, and corresponding support functions according to agreed service levels.
  • Implement service automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Manage change, release, and test processes, and drive the automation of these processes.
  • Handle problem and incident management to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
  • Capitalize on functional and technical knowledge to lead activities and perform at the highest level.
  • Contribute to building a healthy and collaborative environment, leading by example.
  • Work independently within plans dictated by the manager, with some guidance on complex situations.
  • Influence decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios.
  • Contribute to transversal projects, propose improvements to processes, and be accountable for own and team commitments.
