About the Role

The Senior Staff DevOps Engineer role at Consensys is a critical position that entails driving the development and delivery of advanced decentralized applications and supporting production infrastructure. As a key member of the MetaMask and Infura teams, you will be responsible for delivering, upgrading, and maintaining infrastructure with high cybersecurity standards. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's mission to unlock the collaborative power of communities by making the decentralized web universally easy to access, use, and build on.

The role requires a unique combination of technological skills, organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a security-first mindset. You will be working closely with developers, SREs, Product Managers, and other roles within the business group to drive towards improving DORA metrics across the group.

As a DevOps engineer within MetaMask and Infura, you will be joining a world-reference technical team with state-of-the-art expertise in developing and delivering decentralized applications and supporting development and production infrastructure.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver, upgrade, and maintain infrastructure with high cybersecurity standards (ISO/SOC2)
  • Drive code deployment (CI/CD) and set up, configure, and run development/test and staging/production infrastructure across multiple products and critical applications
  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, Product Managers, and other roles within the business group to drive towards improving DORA metrics across the group
  • Involve and drive in our code deployment (CI/CD) and setting-up, configuring, and running development/test and staging/production infrastructure across multiple products and critical applications
  • Work with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to drive infrastructure growth and scalability
  • Develop and maintain strong documentation practices to ensure knowledge sharing across the team
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage of critical infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-cutting infrastructure teams working on multiple types of problems and challenges
  • Empower development teams on a day-to-day basis while thinking strategically and planning for platform growth

What We Are Looking For

  • A DevSecOps engineering mindset with 4+ years of experience in developing and delivering advanced decentralized applications and supporting production infrastructure
  • Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cybersecurity standards (ISO/SOC2) and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of decentralized applications and blockchain technology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with decentralized identity management and decentralized data storage
  • Knowledge of smart contract development and blockchain-based systems
  • Familiarity with web3 technologies and decentralized applications
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
