About the Role
Linear, a company at the forefront of product development systems, is seeking a Senior or Staff Product Designer to join their team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of how software is built, with a focus on integrating AI into the development process. What You Will Do
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to initiate and complete roadmap projects without hand-offs, ensuring seamless integration of design and technical capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to redesign or refine key screens and flows, focusing on enhancing the user experience and addressing smaller quality issues.
- Create mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and describe their execution, utilizing tools like Figma and potentially AI-driven design technologies.
- Engage in collaborative critique of work-in-progress with fellow designers to guide and inspire the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the company's lightweight design system components, ensuring consistency and quality across the product.
- Participate in the hiring process for new design teammates, helping to elevate the team's capabilities and the product's quality.
- Utilize Figma and other design tools for prototyping, with the potential to explore beyond traditional design software, incorporating technologies like HTML/CSS and Origami into your workflow.
- Distill complex problems and feedback into clear, focused design solutions, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years of experience designing software, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to craft high-quality, user-centered design solutions.
