What You Will Do

• Architect and build foundational backend systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and ultra-low latency, driving the technical vision of the Financial Hub team.

• Establish and evolve platform best practices, frameworks, and architectural standards organization-wide, raising the bar for engineering quality.
• Identify industry and company-wide trends to inform the adoption or development of new technologies, staying at the forefront of blockchain and cryptocurrency developments.
• Provide deep technical mentorship, guide design decisions, and raise the bar for engineering quality, helping to develop the next generation of engineers.
• Collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure that systems are designed with financial acumen and handle accounting data and financial transactions with high precision and reliability.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's systems, identifying areas for improvement and driving technical initiatives to address them.
• Participate in team and company-wide offsites to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment, ensuring that the team is working towards a common goal.

What We Are Looking For

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production, with a deep understanding of complex systems and the ability to lead high-stakes scaling initiatives.
• Deep expertise in backend programming (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and cloud-native architecture, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Proven track record designing highly available, high-performance systems, with the ability to anticipate scaling bottlenecks and take decisive, proactive measures.
