About the Role

The Senior Strategic Account Executive role at Twilio is a key position that involves driving new business opportunities and expanding the company's messaging, voice, and email solutions. As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business leads, building strong relationships with customers, and working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet customer needs. The role will involve working with some of the largest and fastest-growing mid-market and enterprise companies, spanning various industries. You will need to have a deep understanding of the CPaaS ecosystem and Twilio's product offerings, as well as the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop creative solutions. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with a strong track record of success in driving new business and building strong customer relationships.

What You Will Do

  • Drive new customer acquisition and expand existing customer relationships
  • Own highly analytical and consultative sales cycles to win business in competitive vendor sourcing cycles
  • Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements and match them to Twilio's communications API platform
  • Design solutions for customer-specific use cases and present complex contractual, technical, and financial details to prospects
  • Collaborate with teams in finance, legal, pricing, and operations to design mutually beneficial contracts
  • Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals at the same time
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, services, product, and finance to develop long-range territory strategies and sales plans
  • Act as the voice of the customer to Twilio's product and carrier relations teams
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the CPaaS industry and stay up-to-date on key industry initiatives and new capabilities
  • Generate and maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast utilizing Salesforce

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the tech or software industry
  • Strong understanding of the CPaaS ecosystem and Twilio's product offerings
  • Proven track record of driving new business and building strong customer relationships
  • Excellent analytical, consultative, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and balance competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Excel
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, services, product, and finance
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiation and financial analysis
