## About the Role The Senior Technical Solutions Architect, APJ – AI/GPU role at Akamai Technologies is a pivotal position for individuals who are passionate about building cutting-edge AI platforms in the cloud. This role is integral to the sales lifecycle, requiring a deep technical expert who can also act as a strategic partner. The successful candidate will be part of a team that simplifies the way people build and scale in the cloud, with a focus on making AI infrastructure, especially GPU-powered workloads, simple, scalable, accessible, and cost-efficient.

The team's mission is closely aligned with enabling customers to build next-generation AI applications, from LLM/GenAI inference platforms to autonomous agents. This involves guiding customers through strategic and technical aspects of cloud transformation to drive services consumption. As a thought leader in cloud computing, the architect will also influence customers, partners, and product direction, both inside and outside Akamai.

The role is based in Singapore, offering a unique opportunity to work with digital native companies in the APJ region, helping them adopt AI inference at scale. ## What You Will Do - Contribute critically to the sales lifecycle as a deep technical expert and strategic partner, focusing on AI/GPU-focused solutions across Asia.

• Work closely with Cloud Sales leadership and account sales teams to drive high-impact opportunities, leveraging expertise in AI/ML systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Design and build AI inference platforms from the ground up for customers, facilitating architectural decisions, prototyping/PoCs, and positioning Akamai/Linode as key enablers of their AI journey.
• Act as a thought leader in AI infrastructure, influencing customers, partners, and product direction internally and externally.
• Translate complex AI/ML concepts into business value, presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, utilizing expertise in cloud computing and AI/ML.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight, ensuring the successful deployment of AI solutions that meet customers' needs and expectations.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in AI, ML, and cloud computing, applying this knowledge to improve Akamai's offerings and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Participate in the development of sales strategies and plans, contributing technical insights and expertise.

## What We Are Looking For - At least 6 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or distributed systems, with good customer-facing experience in presales or consulting roles.

• Deep hands-on experience in AI/ML systems, designing and deploying AI inference systems (LLMs, CV, or recommendation models).
• Expertise in GPU-based infrastructure, including GPU workload optimization, distributed inference, and scaling strategies, with familiarity with modern GPU stacks.
• Solid experience with cloud-native architectures in Kubernetes and container orchestration for AI workloads and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Demonstrated working knowledge in Networking, storage, and high-performance computing concepts, data pipelines, and streaming architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI/ML concepts into business value and present to both technical and executive audiences.
• Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

## Nice to Have - Experience with Akamai or similar technologies.
