About the Role

The Senior Trade Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving global compliance excellence at Novanta, a company that powers technology products transforming healthcare and advanced manufacturing. As a trusted expert, you will lead critical decisions on import/export compliance and licensing, ensuring that the company's global operations remain compliant while enabling growth. The role is part of the Global Trade Compliance team, which collaborates across functions to embed compliance into business processes.

Day-to-day, the Senior Trade Compliance Analyst will balance detail-oriented work with strategic thinking, partnering with various stakeholders to contribute to the evolution of Novanta's global compliance program. What You Will Do

  • Lead critical decisions on import/export compliance and licensing, ensuring that Novanta's global operations remain compliant while enabling growth.
  • Drive accurate classification, documentation, and regulatory adherence across the organization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into business processes and contribute to the evolution of Novanta's global compliance program.
  • Support audits and ensure readiness in an ever-changing regulatory environment.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export regulations and classification frameworks.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in regulations and laws that may impact Novanta's global operations.

  • Proven expertise in international trade compliance, with a strong command of import/export regulations and classification frameworks.
