About the Role
As a Senior Travel Consultant at BCD Travel, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert travel advice and tailored solutions to meet their unique needs. You will work closely with a global team of travel professionals, collaborating to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing travel reservations, responding to client inquiries, and identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and commercial relationships.The travel industry is rapidly evolving, with digital transformation at the forefront. As a senior travel consultant, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
You will report to a senior manager and work closely with a team of travel consultants, as well as other departments such as sales and marketing, to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
What You Will Do
- Manage travel reservations for clients, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars
- Respond to client inquiries, providing expert travel advice and tailored solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and commercial relationships with clients
- Collaborate with a global team of travel professionals to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Apply knowledge of travel industry policies, procedures, and processes to drive innovation and improvement
- Provide industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties, to clients
- Seek opportunities to review and improve current knowledge of the state of the various travel industries supported
- Maintain and expand current knowledge of the travel industry, including new destinations, services, and technologies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell travel services, driving revenue growth and business development
What We Are Looking For
- Extensive experience as a travel consultant, with a strong understanding of the travel industry and its policies, procedures, and processes
- Advanced skills in GDS Sabre, with the ability to navigate complex travel systems and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with strong self-motivation and discipline
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
