## About the Role As a Medical Science Liaison at AbbVie, you will play a critical role in facilitating and leading scientific discussions with thought leaders and external experts in the field of neuroscience. You will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas. Your expertise will help ensure AbbVie has a strong medical and scientific presence in key academic centers.

The Medical Science Liaison role is a key component of AbbVie's medical affairs team, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and affiliate brand teams. Your ability to provide scientific training and updates to internal teams will be essential in driving business objectives. You will also collaborate with the medical affairs team to engage, select, and collaborate with thought leaders for research, advisory boards, and educational roles.

## What You Will Do - Facilitate and lead scientific discussions with thought leaders and external experts in the field of neuroscience - Identify, cultivate, and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas - Develop and execute project/territory management plans to support shared business objectives - Provide scientific training and updates to internal teams, including sales, marketing, and affiliate brand teams - Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, sales, and marketing teams to achieve business objectives - Act as a main point of contact to facilitate investigator-initiated studies and requests - Support the medical affairs team in engaging, selecting, and collaborating with thought leaders for research, advisory boards, and educational roles - Collect and communicate medical and scientific field intelligence within the company, including competitor activity and market trends - Develop and maintain expert knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area and medical research in general

## What We Are Looking For - A Pharmacist or Master's degree in a scientific discipline - Greater than or equal to 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison - At least 2 years of clinical, scientific research-related experience or equivalent - Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge in a therapeutic area - Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs - Ability to identify, analyze, and translate specific territory and corporate needs - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

## Nice to Have - Experience in neuroscience or a related field - Knowledge of digital tools and platforms used in medical affairs - Experience in developing and executing project management plans - Certification in a relevant field, such as pharmacology or medical science
