About the Role

The Sensing role at PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk - Noodle Division is a critical position that requires a skilled professional to manage remote sensing programs and data analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring remote sensing programs to support the company's sustainability practices. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data into business and sustainability strategies.

As a key member of the team, the Sensing specialist will operate and manage UAVs (Fixed Wing & Multi Rotor) for data collection purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role is based in Palembang, and the company is looking for a candidate who is willing to travel to site locations as required. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential for this position.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and monitor remote sensing programs to support the company's sustainability practices
  • Manage and analyze remote sensing data to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into business and sustainability strategies
  • Operate and manage UAVs (Fixed Wing & Multi Rotor) for data collection purposes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of remote sensing data and insights
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in remote sensing technology
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Develop and implement data quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Present findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Geography, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in remote sensing technology and methods
  • Proficiency in software such as ENVI, ERDAS, Mission Planner, and QGIS
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring remote sensing programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in the palm oil or rubber industry is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to site locations as required
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
