About the Role

The SEO Lead position at We Love X GmbH is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to take ownership of the company's affiliate portfolio and drive its growth. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term SEO strategies, optimizing high-value pages, and managing backlink campaigns across multiple affiliate sites. You will work closely with the Head of Product, publishers, vertical managers, and content teams to turn SEO opportunities into measurable business results.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to set direction, prioritize tasks, and act quickly in response to changes in the SEO landscape. You will also have the opportunity to lead a small team of SEO Content Managers, coaching them for growth and holding them accountable for meeting high standards.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement long-term SEO strategies across multiple affiliate sites
  • Optimize high-value pages for rankings and CTR
  • Own backlink campaigns and manage link-building tactics
  • Launch new affiliate sites from scratch, including keyword clustering, topic mapping, and content structure
  • Conduct content audits and improve SERP feature capture
  • Manage a team of SEO Content Managers, setting clear priorities and coaching for growth
  • Collaborate with publishers, vertical managers, and content teams to drive on-page and off-page performance
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities through research and analysis
  • Work with agencies and publishers to strengthen domain authority
  • Report to the Head of Product and provide regular updates on progress

What We Are Looking For

  • Substantial on-page and off-page experience in SEO, with a track record of driving organic growth at scale
  • Proven experience managing a team and getting the best out of people while keeping standards high
  • Native German and fluent English language skills (C1+)
  • Analytical and structured approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flat, startup-style environment
  • Experience in iGaming or other affiliate marketing industries is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and growth

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
  • Certification in SEO or digital marketing
  • Experience in a similar role or industry
