About the Role

The SEO Strategist position at Directive is a client-facing role that requires a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and their impact on business outcomes. As part of the UK team, the successful candidate will work closely with clients to develop and implement customized SEO strategies that align with their business goals. This role is integral to Directive's commitment to delivering measurable results for its clients, leveraging the company's innovative DiscoverabilityOS methodology to guide brand and demand alignment.

The day-to-day responsibilities of an SEO Strategist at Directive involve creating and managing client strategies, communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders, and ensuring that all strategies are executed with excellence. Given the company's fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate must be able to think boldly, challenge the status quo, and build campaigns that are worth talking about.

Directive operates through three divisions: Performance, Communications, and Commerce, all of which are interconnected to share intelligence and focus on revenue-driven outcomes. The SEO Strategist will be an essential part of this ecosystem, working collaboratively with team members across different divisions to ensure that client goals are met and exceeded.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement customized SEO strategies for clients, utilizing tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct competitor and audience insights to craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their overall marketing goals, current campaigns, and historical performance to optimize and revise strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to address roadblocks and ensure goal attainment.
  • Display a strong ability to set goals for clients using available data, including Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting.
  • Manage project execution, ensuring that planned strategies are carried out effectively and that progress towards goals is made.
  • Utilize project management tools, such as Asana, to delegate tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Partner with Project Managers, when applicable, to ensure seamless execution of tasks and communication with clients.
  • Conduct LTV:CAC modeling, customer generation analysis, share of SERP analysis, and content production planning.
  • Develop and manage content strategies that align with client goals and Directive's best practices.
