About the Role
The SEO Strategist role at Directive is a crucial position that requires a deep understanding of SEO principles, experience with Google Analytics, and strong analytical skills. As a key member of the team, the SEO Strategist will be responsible for creating and implementing custom client strategies, managing day-to-day client deliverables, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns, with a focus on ideation based on competitor and audience insights.The SEO Strategist will work closely with the Associate Director to set goals for clients, review and approve goals, and ensure that the planned strategy is executed. This will involve using available data sources, such as Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting, to inform strategies and make data-driven decisions. The SEO Strategist will also be responsible for project management, including delegating tasks to other team members, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and partnering with Project Managers to ensure all tasks are created, assigned, and due dates are met and communicated to the client.

What You Will Do
- Create and implement custom client strategies that ultimately result in achieving our NSMs
- Use project phase as a foundational moment for building the initial client strategy, and revise strategies over the lifetime of the client while adhering to Directive best practices
- Display a strong ability to craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns with a focus on ideation based on competitor and audience insights
- Set goals for clients using available data sources, such as Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting
- Review and approve goals with the Associate Director
- Ensure that the planned strategy is executed, including delegating tasks to other team members and partnering with Project Managers
- Work closely with content writers and designers to complete content campaigns for clients on time and to a high standard
- Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned
- Use LTV:CAC modeling, customer generation, share of SERP, and content production to inform strategies
- Manage day-to-day client deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, paid media, or a related field
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience with Google Analytics
- Experience with SEMRush, Ahrefs, and other SEO tools
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Experience with content marketing and content production
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

- Experience with Asana or other project management tools
