About the Role
The Shift Lead role at Walgreens is a critical position that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. What You Will Do
- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups and cash handling
- Ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the business day
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe
- Provide change as requested to cash registers
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members
- Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary
- Assist with and coach other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering process
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register and maintain accurate records
What We Are Looking For
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to use retail software and technology to manage store operations
- Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
