About the Role

Pathway Solutions GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to drive the evolution of their core platform, focusing on Shopify API GraphQL integration and building scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend services
  • Take full ownership of the entire development lifecycle for new platform features
  • Solve complex problems in platform scalability and ensure speed and excellence
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments
  • Collaborate and mentor team members to contribute to a culture of engineering excellence

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with a strong command of Java and the Spring Boot framework
  • Experience with AI coding tools and a willingness to drive AI adoption
  • API expertise, particularly with Shopify GraphQL APIs and complex third-party integrations
  • Cloud proficiency, preferably with GCP
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
