About the Role
The role of a Simplified Chinese AI Product Tester at Productive Playhouse is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Simplified Chinese and an interest in AI technology. As a product tester, you will be responsible for testing AI-powered products, providing feedback, and helping to improve the overall user experience. Your day-to-day tasks will involve interacting with various mobile applications, sorting and organizing notifications, and submitting daily feedback reports.The team you will be working with is dedicated to pioneering a new approach to language and data services, incorporating the company's roots as a production company. This role offers a chance to be part of a global effort to enhance AI and notification management technologies for international users. You will be expected to work independently, using your own Google Pixel device, and communicate effectively with the project team through the Upwork platform.
The project's objective is to refine AI-powered notification sorting and management technologies, making them more user-friendly and efficient for a global audience. Your contribution as a product tester will be crucial in helping the team understand how users interact with these technologies and identifying areas for improvement. By participating in this project, you will not only gain valuable experience in AI product testing but also contribute to the development of innovative technologies that can impact how people manage notifications worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Use a Google Pixel 9 or newer device as your primary phone for the duration of the project
- Interact naturally with various mobile applications that generate notifications
- Complete daily notification sorting and organization tasks as instructed
- Submit daily feedback and documentation on your experience with the applications and any issues encountered
- Participate in a short daily feedback/check-in form to assist with participation tracking and troubleshooting support
- Ensure all project tasks are completed with attention to quality, completeness, and detail
- Communicate promptly regarding any technical issues or project blockers
- Follow all provided project instructions carefully
- Maintain the confidentiality of all project-related information, adhering to the terms outlined in the Upwork User Agreement
- Be willing to participate daily for 14 consecutive days, with an expected daily participation time of approximately 10-15 minutes
What We Are Looking For
- Native or expert-level fluency in Simplified Mandarin spoken in China (zh-CN)
- Comfortable reading and writing in English
- Willingness to complete a language proficiency assessment as part of the application process
- Ability to use a Google Pixel 9 or newer device for the duration of the project
- Familiarity with common mobile applications that generate notifications (messaging apps, email apps, social media apps, etc.)
- Access to reliable Wi-Fi/internet
- Ability to commit to participating daily for 14 consecutive days
- Detail-oriented and motivated, with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with AI product testing or a related field is an advantage but not required
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with mobile device testing or technology product testing
- Familiarity with project management tools, especially Upwork
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
- Experience working in a remote team environment
