About the Role
As an SMB Business Development Executive I focused on retention, you will lead negotiations crucial to maintaining long-term partnerships with SMB-managed merchants. This includes contract renewals, addressing churn threats, and engaging in exclusivity discussions. You will balance merchant needs with DoorDash's strategic priorities to foster retention and revenue growth.Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations from start to finish during renewals and exclusivity discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft compelling merchant proposals.
- Develop and present persuasive presentations highlighting DoorDash's value.
- Engage with senior leadership to share insights and influence strategies.
- Work autonomously while navigating complex situations and maintaining quality.
- Contribute to the development of SMB Business Development strategies and processes.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in business development or a related field, with a strong understanding of restaurant economics.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation abilities and executive presence.
