About the Role

Mozilla is a mission-driven organization dedicated to keeping the internet open, accessible, and secure. The Social Media & Content Strategist will play a key role in developing and implementing a content and social strategy to support Mozilla's open-source AI engagement activities. This includes creating a vertical video strategy, engaging developers through social platforms, and growing an audience for a new newsletter.

As a member of the Mozilla team, you will work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy, experiment with new content formats, and help Mozilla establish itself as a trusted reference point in open-source AI discussions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve creating and curating content, managing social media channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maximum impact.

What You Will Do

  • Develop a comprehensive content and social strategy to support Mozilla's open-source AI engagement activities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maximum impact
  • Engage with developers and technical communities through social platforms and online forums
  • Develop and implement a vertical video strategy to support Mozilla's content goals
  • Conduct research to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in open-source AI
  • Analyze metrics and adjust content strategy accordingly
  • Support the launch of major projects, including the Q2 State of Open-Source AI report
  • Identify and collaborate with influencers and thought leaders in the AI ecosystem
  • Help establish Mozilla as a trusted reference point in open-source AI discussions

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of creating engaging content for technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of the tech industry and open-source AI
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
