Social Media Lead

The social media team at OpenSea is small but mighty, and you will be working closely with the marketing, PR, and product teams to ensure that social media activities are aligned with broader campaign objectives.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across key platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Telegram
• Create engaging content that showcases OpenSea's mission and values, including blog posts, social media posts, and thought leadership pieces
• Manage social media campaigns and analyze their effectiveness using metrics such as engagement rates and follower growth
• Foster a positive online community by responding to comments and messages, and moderating discussions to ensure that they remain respectful and constructive
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute influencer marketing campaigns
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and algorithm changes, and adjust the social media strategy accordingly
• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that content is posted regularly and consistently
• Analyze social media metrics to understand the effectiveness of the social media strategy and make adjustments as needed
• Create and curate content that showcases OpenSea's products and services, including NFTs and digital assets

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in the crypto or fintech space
• Proven track record of growing social media presence and engagement
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Telegram
• Excellent content creation skills, including writing, graphic design, and video production
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze social media metrics and adjust the social media strategy accordingly
• Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social
• Strong understanding of the crypto space, including blockchain technology and digital assets

Nice to Have

• Experience with influencer marketing and community building
• Knowledge of SEO principles and how to optimize content for search engines
• Experience with paid social media advertising, including Facebook and Twitter ads
• Familiarity with crypto-related tools and platforms, such as MetaMask and WalletConnect
