About the Role
The Social Media Manager role at Virtual Coworker is a unique opportunity for a creative and data-driven professional to lead the social media strategy for an ecommerce fashion brand. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media plan that drives engagement, conversions, and revenue growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating short-form video content, writing compelling captions, and researching trending sounds and hashtags to stay ahead of the curve.As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, collaborating with a distributed team to achieve shared goals. Your work will have a direct impact on the brand's online presence and sales, making this a highly visible and rewarding role.
What You Will Do
- Create short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, including styling videos, product spotlights, trends, and storytelling
- Write compelling captions and hooks designed to drive clicks and conversions
- Research trending sounds, hashtags, and formats and adapt them to the client's brand voice
- Schedule and publish posts consistently across both platforms
- Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement — respond and build relationships
- Track content performance and iterate based on data (views, saves, link clicks, conversions)
- Build and maintain an email subscriber list from scratch
- Design and write weekly or bi-weekly email campaigns (new arrivals, promotions, stories)
- Set up foundational email automations: welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase
- Craft subject lines and CTAs optimized for open and click-through rates
- Drive traffic to the website and report on email-attributed revenue
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing or a related field
- Proven track record of creating engaging social media content and driving conversions
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and data-driven decision making
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience with email marketing automation and CRM software
- Familiarity with TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
