About the Role
Cohere is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their Adoption team, focusing on building and deploying AI-powered workflows for enterprises. This role is crucial in driving the widespread adoption of AI, and the successful candidate will be part of a team that obsesses over delivering high-quality solutions. As a Software Engineer at Cohere, you will be working on the core platform that enables customers to create AI-powered workflows, integrating seamlessly with existing workflows and providing a secure environment for sensitive data.The Agents & Automations team at Cohere is responsible for building the platform inside North, Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform. This platform allows customers to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data, offering a trusted environment that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications. As part of this team, you will contribute to the development of autonomous agents, workflow builders, execution engines, and other critical components.

What You Will Do
- Build and ship features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform
- Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data
- Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments with stringent deployment mechanisms
- Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques
- Contribute to the development of the workflow builder, execution engine, integrations, debugging tools, observability, evaluation systems, and feedback loops
- Ensure security and privacy are paramount in all development work
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities
- Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and software engineering
What We Are Looking For
- At least two years of experience in software engineering, preferably with a focus on AI or related technologies
- Strong coding abilities in languages such as Python and React
- Experience with full-stack development and deployment of software applications
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong understanding of security and privacy principles
- Experience working with large enterprises and startups
- Ability to read, understand, and fix issues outside of the main code base
- Strong coding abilities and comfort working across the stack
Nice to Have
- Experience with art and design, with an eye for creative solutions
- A portfolio or GitHub repository showcasing your projects and accomplishments
- Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, and other technologies used by Cohere
- Knowledge of AI-powered workflows and automations
