About the Role
The Marketplace team at Affirm is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to build the discovery platforms behind their search, deals, and merchant details experiences. As a member of this team, you will ship features that make it faster and easier for shoppers to find the right merchant and financing for their needs.Responsibilities
- Work on tasks that contribute to the team's projects and goals
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to scope work, write clean and well-tested code, review PRs, and ship new functionality iteratively
- Strike the right balance of speed and quality in your work, ensuring that business goals are met while protecting systems from downtime
Requirements
- Previous experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin
- Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and execute on it by writing clear, easily understood, well-tested, and extensible code
