As a remote member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, including frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and professionals from top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google.

What You Will Do

• Find new sources of audio data and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline using GCP and Terraform
• Collaborate with scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier of data collection
• Deliver richer data at a larger scale and lower cost to power next-generation models
• Craft the AI team's dataset roadmap to support consumer and enterprise products
• Work with the AI team and Speechify leadership to align dataset strategies with company goals
• Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through written and verbal communication
• Participate in the development of the company's data infrastructure and architecture
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations

What We Are Looking For

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows
• Knowledge of data pipelines and data architecture

Nice to Have

• Experience with data engineering and data science tools
• Familiarity with machine learning models and AI technologies
• Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
• Certification in cloud computing or data engineering
