About the Role

The Consumer Authentication Engineering team at Affirm is responsible for building secure, seamless account creation and access experiences for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases, collaborating with others for timely delivery.
  • Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle, participating in ideation and articulating technical constraints.
  • Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, and participating in on-call efforts.
  • Contribute to a sense of community by engaging in growth and development activities.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems with proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
