About the Role
The Software Engineer II role at Precision Medicine Group is a unique opportunity to work on the configuration and delivery of client-facing applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. As a key member of the technical operations team, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of healthcare application systems, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the Infrastructure Service Support team to provide exceptional client service. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Application Development Team, to deploy software releases and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise in application operations and development will be crucial in driving process enhancements and implementing new features, all while adhering to Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) guidelines. As a Software Engineer II, you will represent the Application Operations/Development team in active projects, participate in daily stand-up meetings, and follow established procedures for change management. Your ability to document and maintain standard operating procedures, create informative WIKI articles, and measure application development key performance indicators will be essential in driving team success.What You Will Do
- Configure client-facing applications according to requirements gathered by engagement teams, following MLR guidelines
- Update client-facing applications as per requirements, ensuring compliance with MLR guidelines
- Represent the Application Operations/Development team in all active projects
- Participate in daily application operations/development stand-up meetings
- Follow established procedures for change management across applications
- Document and maintain application operations/development standard operating procedures
- Create WIKI articles for common processes
- Coordinate with the Application Development Team to deploy software releases in User Acceptance Testing and Production environments
- Setup environments for new implementations
- Configure Single Sign On integrations for client builds
- Support the development of product unit tests for future application regression testing
- Measure application development key performance indicators
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Technology/Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent)
- 2-4 years of experience in a related field as an application engineer/developer/support
- Strong grasp of GIT fundamentals and day-to-day usage
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server, Windows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience with Agile Development Lifecycle and continuous integration methodologies
- Operational knowledge of Team Foundation Server, AzureDevOps, or Octopus
- Knowledge of US Healthcare/Market Access (advantageous)
- Experience with Veeva or Salesforce (plus)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipeline tools
- Knowledge of React, Angular, or .NetCore
- Working knowledge of one or more EHR software systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Experience with healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, SMART on FHIR)
- Enterprise application design and scalable design experience
