About the Role

Airtable is evolving its infrastructure to meet the needs of its fast-growing engineering organization. We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and improve critical product infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Join the Base Infrastructure team to own the system powering Airtable's core product, serving Airtable bases
  • Invest in the foundations of our homegrown in-memory database, focusing on projects like building replication for zero downtime failovers, optimizing performance and memory usage, and vertical scaling
  • Alternatively, join the Compute pod to build and manage our Kubernetes-based platform supporting every service at Airtable, including new AI services
  • Work on overhauling the network stack and service discovery, region-level disaster recovery, and building custom Kubernetes operators

Requirements

  • 2-8 years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong background in building scalable systems with great developer experience
