About the Role

Speechify's mission is to make reading more accessible, and as an iOS engineer, you'll be instrumental in achieving this goal. What You Will Do

• Lead key engineering and product decisions, ensuring the iOS app continues to meet the needs of its growing user base
• Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, collaborating with the product team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Work within a dedicated product team to maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap, ensuring the app remains competitive and meets user needs
• Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to ensure the app's user experience is seamless and intuitive
• Utilize technical skills, including Swift, SwiftUI, and Excel, to drive the app's development and maintenance
• Work with CI/CD infrastructure, ensuring the app is deployed efficiently and effectively
• Participate in technical interviews, helping to identify and recruit top talent for the team
• Maintain a strong focus on customer obsession, ensuring the app meets the needs of its users and exceeds their expectations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, attending conferences and workshops to ensure the team remains at the forefront of iOS development

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working on products that have scaled to a large user base, with a proven track record of delivering results
• Strong technical skills, including Swift, SwiftUI, and Excel
• Experience with Multithreading Programming, CI/CD infrastructure, and Fastlane
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and the ability to write clean, modular code
• Experience working with Git and understanding of different Git strategies
• Customer-obsessed mindset, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work quickly and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders
• Passion for making product decisions and driving the development of new and exciting projects

Nice to Have

• Experience working on text-to-speech products or similar technologies
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning principles
• Experience working in a remote team environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
