About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the CDN Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in scaling and improving Vercel's services, focusing on availability, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with backend engineers and the product team to identify problems and build solutions that delight developers.Responsibilities
- Create new primitives to expand the product feature set of Vercel CDN
- Optimize the Vercel CDN experience to improve reliability and lower latency
- Analyze web latency to find sources of tail latency
- Advance the developer experience for engineers working primarily in Lua
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Lua
- Knowledgeable and experienced with web servers and HTTP
- Ability to tackle complex challenges in serving petabytes of data and billions of requests
