About the Role
The Software Engineer, Product Growth role at Ramp is a unique opportunity to build scalable platforms that drive business growth. As part of the Core Growth team, you will own applications that power Ramp's product-led growth engine, working cross-functionally to expand the company's serviceable market. With a strong focus on metric-driven software development, you will partner with product, data, and design teams to accelerate Ramp's growth.The Core Growth team is responsible for powering nearly every growth channel at Ramp, making this role a critical component of the company's success. What You Will Do
- Build software to grow Ramp to its next millions of users, focusing on scalability and reliability
- Scale customer success, sales, and marketing functions through automation and AI assistance
- Drive business outcomes through metric-driven software development, using data to inform decision-making
- Work in a dynamic engineering team with partners in product, data, and design to expand Ramp's serviceable market
- Own the customer journey from discovery to onboarding, activation, and expansion
- Collaborate with stakeholders across growth, sales, marketing, and finance to accelerate Ramp's growth
- Develop creative solutions to complex problems, using pragmatism and iterative technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development role, with a focus on building scalable platforms
- Experience shipping fast, reliable applications using modern development tools and infrastructure
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly improving start-up environment
- Strong value of pragmatism over idealism in times of uncertainty
- Perpetual curiosity and passion for honing your craft, with a focus on continuous learning
- Experience with modern data stacks, including ETL tools, workflow orchestrators, and data platforms
- Strong understanding of engineering development cycles, including system design, documentation, and testing
- Ability to improvise and develop creative solutions when common approaches fail
Nice to Have
- Start-up experience as a technical co-founder or early engineer
- Experience with applying AI/LLMs in production use cases
- Strong perspective on engineering development cycles, including system design and best practices for codebase development
