Job Description

About the Role

Workos is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to optimize how the team produces code and collaborates to build WorkOS. This role serves as a bridge between infrastructure, product, and leadership, ensuring tools and systems mature alongside the product.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal research to understand each engineer's workflow
  • Build cross-functional trust by listening to and understanding teammates
  • Synthesize needs into a cohesive strategy for leadership
  • Interface with leadership and vendors to procure the right tools and environments
  • Improve internal tooling across the company
  • Craft a long-term strategy balancing short-term needs

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience rolling out team-wide process or tooling changes
  • Understanding of developer tool chains, including IDEs, compilers, and debuggers
  • Ability to identify tradeoffs and needs of companies as they scale
