About the Role
The Software Engineer - Security Engineering role at Plaid is a critical position that focuses on developing and maintaining the company's security infrastructure and services. As a Software Engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing solutions for data encryption and key management to building and maintaining the company's internal authentication and authorization systems.

What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain secure software systems and services to protect sensitive consumer data
- Design and implement technical solutions to align with the evolving needs of the business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of Plaid's infrastructure and services
- Consult with product engineers to ensure Plaid services meet security standards
- Develop and maintain Plaid's security infrastructure and services, including Key Management System and Secure Token Service
- Assist with Plaid's incident response and security awareness programs
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding project deliverables and progress
- Actively participate in incident response and security awareness initiatives
- Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and services
- Collaborate with other security platform members to build necessary engineering solutions
