## About the Role As a Software Engineer at Sticker Mule, you'll be part of a small, autonomous team that owns products end-to-end, working on a suite of software tools designed for creators and businesses. This role is critical in driving Sticker Mule's mission to build the Internet's most lucrative commerce platform. The company combines software, manufacturing, and AI to create a fully integrated stack that is unmatched by traditional print or pure software companies. The focus on agility and the ability to pivot instantly when needed means you'll be working in a fast-paced environment that values flexibility and speed.
Your day-to-day will involve working across web and mobile platforms from the same codebase, utilizing a range of technologies including Go, TypeScript, React, Expo, GraphQL, and Postgres, all running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). AI is aggressively integrated into projects to push the boundaries of what's possible. This approach enables Sticker Mule to move quickly, build for the masses, and streamline operations by deprioritizing edge cases.
The team is fully remote, spanning over 40 countries, and collaboration is facilitated through Asana and Slack. This setup allows for a diverse and global perspective, contributing to the company's innovative and dynamic work environment.
## What You Will Do - Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions as part of Sticker Mule's commerce platform - Contribute to the development of AI tools, both for internal use and customer-facing applications - Work on building and scaling Sticker Mule Pro, a suite of tools for businesses and creators - Develop and maintain Notify, a Mailchimp alternative, focusing on efficient notification systems - Contribute to Reply, a Zendesk alternative, aiming to provide superior customer support solutions - Participate in the development of Hire Me, a Contra alternative, designed to facilitate hiring processes for businesses - Develop mobile apps using Expo, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices - Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements - Utilize AI and machine learning to improve existing products and develop new features - Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the software systems - Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards
## What We Are Looking For - Exceptional full-stack software engineering skills - Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, React, Expo, GraphQL, and Postgres - Experience with cloud computing, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles and their application in software development - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote setting - Experience with collaborative tools such as Asana and Slack - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically - Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies and frameworks
## Nice to Have - Experience with e-commerce platforms or digital marketplaces - Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with Shopify, Mailchimp, Zendesk, or similar platforms - Experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers
