About the Role
The Software Engineering Manager at Experian is a pivotal role that oversees the development of high-volume, high-transaction applications across the Experian Employer Services (EES) organization. This hands-on leadership position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, managerial acumen, and collaborative spirit. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, the successful candidate will lead the software engineering and QA teams, drive the adoption of agile methodologies, and champion security best practices.As a key member of the EES leadership team, the Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for modernizing mission-critical platforms, influencing architectural direction, and contributing to executive-level strategy. With a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions, this role demands a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis, as well as experience with C#, .NET Framework, DotNet Core, and Azure Cloud Solutions.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the progress, daily activity status, and overall project activities of the software engineering and QA teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX and product, to meet project deliverables and milestone dates
- Lead code reviews, evaluate SAST findings, and champion secure SDLC practices
- Mentor engineers, enhance Agile posture, and plan SCRUM teams
- Hire talent, build, and scale engineering teams through structured coaching and career development frameworks
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure product changes are delivered
- Adapt new tools and technologies from the organization
- Oversee product deployment activities, project logistics, and resource allocation
- Improve production excellence through incident reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement loops
- Partner with security teams on vulnerability management and remediation strategy
- Provide regular updates to leadership on team and sprint progress
What We Are Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry, with 5+ years of professional management experience
- 8+ years of professional .NET development and architectural experience
- 3+ years of Azure cloud experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with C#, .NET Framework, DotNet Core, and Azure Cloud Solutions
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
- Experience with frontend technologies, such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, ReactJS, or Tailwind
- Experience with Agile software methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience designing cloud-native, event-driven architectures on Azure
- Experience with ETL technologies like SSIS, ADF, MS Fabric, Data Bricks
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
