Job Description

About the Role

As a Software Security Engineer at Wiz, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing robust security measures to protect the company's corporate platforms. You will be responsible for designing, writing, and deploying technologies that support corporate security functions, including detection and response workflows, vulnerability management, and access control. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving security innovation and ensuring the company's systems and data remain secure.

The role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Security, IT, Software Engineering, and DevOps, to foster a strong security posture. You will also have the opportunity to influence Wiz's internal security strategy and develop initiatives to meet the company's objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Design, write, and deploy technologies that support corporate security functions, including detection and response workflows, vulnerability management, and access control
  • Develop and execute security initiatives to meet the company's objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to respond to security incidents and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Automate processes at scale to streamline security engineering and operations tasks
  • Work with vendors to ensure the effective implementation of security technologies
  • Participate in the development of security policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, and/or security operations
  • Strong focus on secure development practices, endpoint security, and identity management
  • Experience with cloud computing (e.g., AWS, GCP) and version control (e.g., git)
  • Proficiency in Python programming and CICD
  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR technologies, API integrations, and vulnerability management
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Experience with security engineering and operations, including developing software to automate processes and integrate security technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Temporal, Javascript/React, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Okta
  • Knowledge of modern execution platforms and orchestration tools
  • Equivalent job experience in place of a degree
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
