About the Role

The Solution Consultant position at Capacity is a critical component of the Professional Services team, aimed at delivering tailored solutions to clients through the company's AI-powered support automation platform. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, as the successful candidate will be responsible for translating client needs into actionable, build-ready architectures that span multiple components of the platform. Given the pivotal nature of this position, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in solution consulting, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Day-to-day, the Solution Consultant will engage in a variety of activities, from attending kickoff meetings and conducting pre-discovery research to facilitating client discovery sessions and defining epic development. This role requires a high degree of precision, curiosity, and strong communication skills, as the Solution Consultant acts as the critical link between the client and the engineering team, ensuring that the solutions designed meet the client's needs and are feasible from a technical standpoint.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the accountable and responsible owner for all functional and technical requirements on assigned implementation projects.
  • Participate in internal and client kickoff meetings to understand project scope, sales commitments, and delivery expectations.
  • Conduct pre-discovery research, including investigating the client's tech stack and developing an initial integration architecture approach.
  • Facilitate and attend client discovery sessions, covering areas such as Conversational Design presentations and Technical Requirements sessions.
  • Define epic development, including documenting technical considerations, writing user stories, and collaborating on story point estimation.
  • Validate the Definition of Ready (DoR) before sprint planning to ensure all technical unknowns are resolved.
  • Define API specs, coordinate whitelisting, and document credentials and test accounts required for development and QA.
  • Brief development teams on the technical approach at the start of each sprint and serve as a resource for build-phase questions.
  • Complete post-UAT Confluence documentation to cover integrations, platform configuration, and architecture diagrams.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to manage scope boundaries and advise on change requests.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Capacity's implementation standards, decision frameworks, and technical documentation practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a Solution Consultant, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience in solution consulting or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Experience with AI-powered support automation platforms or similar technologies.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
