## About the Role As a Solutions Architect at Gitlab, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth in Northern Europe. You will be responsible for guiding organizations through their digital transformation journeys, from planning to monitoring, using your technical expertise and understanding of cloud and modern software development practices. Your primary focus will be on driving successful platform adoption, influencing revenue growth through solution selling, and building long-term, trust-based relationships with customers. The role requires a deep understanding of DevSecOps, AI, and software development, as well as excellent communication and customer empathy skills. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including Account Executives, Product Management, and Engineering, to shape solution architectures and serve as the voice of the customer. As a Solutions Architect, you will be expected to embody these values and contribute to the company's mission to transform how the world develops software. ## What You Will Do - Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets customers' technical and business needs across the full lifecycle - Drive the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop design, and the technical components of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments - Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies that support new customer acquisition and expansion - Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through Gitlab-driven transformation and enabling them to become Gitlab advocates - Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices, challenging existing approaches to improve return on investment - Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback and insights - Own technical evaluations, including proof of value initiatives and workshops - Shape solution architectures and drive the technical evaluation process - Partner with cross-functional teams to drive successful platform adoption and revenue growth - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Gitlab's DevSecOps platform and its applications - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the DevSecOps space ## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the DevSecOps or software development industry - Strong technical expertise in DevSecOps, AI, and software development - Excellent communication and customer empathy skills - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management - Strong understanding of cloud and modern software development practices - Experience with solution selling and driving revenue growth - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Experience with technical evaluations, solution design, and workshop facilitation ## Nice to Have - Experience working with Gitlab's DevSecOps platform or similar technologies - Knowledge of cloud security and compliance regulations - Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems - Certification in DevSecOps or related fields - Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a leader in the DevSecOps space - Collaborative and dynamic work environment - Professional development opportunities and access to training and resources - Flexible working hours and remote work options - Access to the latest technologies and tools - Recognition and reward for outstanding performance - Comprehensive health and wellness programs - Generous PTO and holiday schedule
