About the Role
The Solutions Architect position at GitLab represents a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to drive digital transformation for clients across Northern Europe. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with prospects and customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, guiding them through their transformation journey. This role is integral to GitLab's success, as it involves shaping solution architectures, driving technical evaluations, and serving as the voice of the customer back to Product Management.Day-to-day, you will lead technical discovery sessions, demos, and validation processes to demonstrate how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets customers' needs. Your expertise in cloud and modern software development practices will be crucial in advising customers on how to improve their return on investment. You will report to a regional Solutions Architect manager and collaborate with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to execute account strategies and drive revenue growth.

What You Will Do
- Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how GitLab's DevSecOps platform meets customers' technical and business needs
- Drive the technical evaluation process, including solution design, proof of value initiatives, and workshops
- Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies
- Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to guide them through GitLab-driven transformation
- Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices
- Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
- Maintain and extend your technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies
- Create reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners
- Invest in your own growth and development through ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, preferably in a DevSecOps or cloud computing environment
- Strong understanding of cloud and modern software development practices
- Excellent customer empathy and ability to build trust-based relationships
- Technical expertise in DevSecOps tools and platforms, with a focus on GitLab
- Experience with AI-powered solutions and their application in software development
- Ability to drive technical evaluations and design solutions that meet customers' needs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and security practices
- Knowledge of competitive DevSecOps platforms and technologies
- Certification in cloud computing or DevSecOps
