About the Role
The Solutions Architect Team Lead position at Convergint Federal Solutions is a key role that entails providing technical leadership and coordination for a team of solutions architects and estimators. This team is focused on supporting the Global Cloud and Data Center Vertical, and the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding them in developing system designs, solutions, estimates, and proposal strategies for large-scale enterprise and data center opportunities. The role requires a highly skilled problem-solver with an eye for detail and precision, who can navigate specialized security requirements and thrive in managing complex projects.As a supervisor, the Team Lead will ensure consistency and quality across solution designs, scopes of work, and estimates produced by the team. They will also serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex projects and specialized environments. Collaboration with sales leadership and vertical leadership is crucial to align solution strategies with customer requirements and business goals.

What You Will Do
- Provide technical leadership and coordination for the solutions architecture team
- Develop system designs, solutions, estimates, and proposal strategies for large-scale projects
- Ensure consistency and quality across solution designs, scopes of work, and estimates
- Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex projects
- Collaborate with sales leadership and vertical leadership to align solution strategies with customer requirements
- Mentor and guide solutions architects and estimators to provide technical leadership and strategic support
- Coordinate workload and priorities across the team to support high-value opportunities
- Work with customers and sales colleagues to create solutions, designs, and scopes of work for complex projects
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and technical discussions to assess project needs and unique requirements
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for large, multi-site or country, complex security projects
- Collaborate with partners to identify new and best technologies to apply to solutions and designs
- Source and manage pricing from specialized vendors, subcontractors, and partners
- Identify project risks, special handling requirements, and potential solutions to address regulatory and customer expectations
What We Are Looking For
- 7-9 years of experience in design consulting, system design, system commissioning, estimating, project management, and/or installation for complex and large-scale electronic physical security systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with managing complex, large-scale projects and navigating specialized security requirements
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Experience with data centers, global enterprise installations, and regulated environments
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies
- Certification in security or a related field
- Experience with partnering with vendors and subcontractors
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in security
