## About the Role As a Solutions Consultant at Hootsuite, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by providing technical and subject matter expertise to organizations with complex social media needs. You will work closely with existing and prospective clients to understand their business objectives and develop tailored solutions that help them connect with their audiences more effectively. This role is part of a hybrid team, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Canada or from one of Hootsuite's offices in Vancouver, Toronto, or New York.
The Solutions Consultant role is critical in establishing Hootsuite as the partner of choice for organizations seeking to improve their social media presence. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Success, to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that meet client needs. Your expertise in social media strategy, combined with your ability to communicate complex solutions in a clear and concise manner, will be invaluable in driving success in this role.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Solution Consultants, you will be part of a team that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Your input and insights will contribute to the continuous improvement of Hootsuite's solutions and services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of clients in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
## What You Will Do - Partner with Sales and Success teams to develop opportunity and account strategies that position Hootsuite as the solution and partner of choice.
- Contribute to the creation of successful proposals by providing detailed information about Hootsuite's solutions and their alignment with client requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions with key stakeholders to uncover business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Deliver compelling, value-based presentations and product demos to clients and prospects.
- Utilize creative tools and techniques to present solutions in a simple, memorable, and engaging manner.
- Manage trials and pilots with customers and prospects to demonstrate the value of Hootsuite's solutions.
- Facilitate workshops with clients to surface deeper business value and identify opportunities for growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on social strategy and the optimal mix of products and services to support their objectives.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the regional Value & Solutions team to enhance value delivery and customer adoption.
- Enable Sales and Success teams on Hootsuite's product ecosystem and provide training and support as needed.
- A college or university degree/diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
- The ability to explain complex solutions in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Industry knowledge in key markets such as Financial Services, Government, Higher Ed, Travel/Hospitality/Tourism, and Healthcare.
- Understanding of common social use cases in marketing, social selling, advocacy, and service.
- Familiarity with related technologies outside of Hootsuite's ecosystem, such as media production, ad tech, and mar tech.
- Experience in communicating project plans and solutions to potential clients.
- Knowledge of solution selling and consultative selling approaches.
- Clear, concise, and creative presentation skills, with the ability to focus on business value.
- Familiarity with Hootsuite's products and services.
- Certification in social media marketing or a related field.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
