Solutions Engineer, EMEA - SELECT by DoiT

## About the Role As a Solutions Engineer at DoiT, you will be a crucial part of the company's mission to empower cloud-driven organizations to achieve business growth and innovation through strategic cloud utilization. Your primary focus will be on SELECT, DoiT's pioneering solution for cost observability and optimization across cloud data platforms. This role involves collaborating closely with the Account Executive team to deliver exceptional value throughout the customer journey, with a specific emphasis on Snowflake and Databricks optimization capabilities.

The Solutions Engineer position is based remotely in the Netherlands and requires a deep understanding of cloud environments, particularly in the context of data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery. As a technical leader, you will own the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) exercises for SELECT, ensuring successful technical outcomes that demonstrate clear value and alignment with prospect requirements.

Your day-to-day activities will include technical discovery sessions with prospects to understand their technical environment and cost optimization goals. You will tailor and deliver compelling platform demonstrations, leverage your analytical skills to develop business cases and ROI analyses, and become the go-to expert for SELECT within the company.

## What You Will Do - Collaborate with the Account Executive team to understand the prospect's technical environment and cost optimization goals - Own and drive the technical validation and POV exercises for SELECT, ensuring successful technical outcomes - Prepare, manage, and deliver technicalProof of Value (POV) exercises - Deliver platform demonstrations tailored to prospects' specific use cases and concerns - Develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses that articulate the tangible value of SELECT - Become the go-to expert for SELECT within the company, ensuring prospects achieve optimal results and a seamless implementation experience - Take full ownership of the technical win for SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the technical evaluation process - Represent DoiT and SELECT at company events and industry conferences, showcasing expertise in Snowflake/Databricks optimization - Translate customer pain points into structured input for R&D teams, representing the voice of the technical customer in roadmap discussions - Ensure timely entry of data into internal business support solutions and contribute to systems and tools for key business information and metrics

## What We Are Looking For - Strong analytical and technical skills, particularly in cloud environments and data platforms - Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery - Proven track record of delivering technical presentations and demonstrations - Ability to develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges - Proficiency in tools like Excel for data analysis and presentation

## Nice to Have - Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization - Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure - Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices - Certification in cloud computing or data engineering
