Job Description

## About the Role As a Solutions Engineer, Enterprise at Sentry, you will be responsible for helping the company's largest customers successfully embed Sentry into their applications and workflows. This will involve working closely with customers to understand their pain points and objectives, and developing implementation and onboarding plans to meet those objectives. You will also be responsible for developing best practices, educational offerings, and content around error and performance management.

The Solutions Engineering team at Sentry is a key part of the company's success, and as a member of this team, you will be expected to act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for customers. You will provide workshop-level interaction to customers to drive the maturity of use and broader adoption of Sentry's tools.

The role will involve working cross-functionally with other teams, including product and development, to provide feedback and align Sentry's product roadmap with improving time to value-delivered.

## What You Will Do - Understand customers' pain points and objectives and translate those into implementation and onboarding plans to meet those objectives and demonstrate business value.

  • Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content around error and performance management, open-source, or the Sentry product.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for customers to assist with instrumenting software engineering and monitoring best practices.
  • Provide workshop-level interaction to customers to drive the maturity of use and broader adoption.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide feedback to the product and development teams and align Sentry's product roadmap with improving time to value-delivered.
  • Develop solutions, resources, and content from scratch, such as scripts, code samples, demos, and sales-consumable collateral/documents.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure optimal implementation and utilization of Sentry's tools.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer.
  • Hands-on experience working with programming languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, Mobile Native (iOS and/or Android).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solver, knowledgeable, and can-doer.
  • Experience working with customers to understand their pain points and develop solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with error and performance management tools and technologies.
## Nice to Have - Experience working with open-source technologies and contributing to open-source projects.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
  • Certification in software development or a related field.
