About the Role
The Solutions Engineering team at Sentry plays a vital role in helping the company's largest customers successfully integrate Sentry's tools into their applications and workflows. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding customers' pain points and objectives, developing implementation and onboarding plans, and ensuring optimal utilization of Sentry's products. This role requires a deep understanding of software development life cycles, error and performance management, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to customers.The Solutions Engineering team is a critical component of Sentry's success, and as a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who are passionate about helping developers build better software. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the adoption of Sentry's products and services, and your input will help shape the company's product roadmap.
In this role, you will work closely with customers to identify and resolve errors, implement best practices, and develop educational content to help them get the most out of Sentry's tools. Your ability to think creatively, develop innovative solutions, and communicate effectively will be essential in this position.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement onboarding plans for new customers, ensuring they can effectively utilize Sentry's products and services.
- Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve errors, and implement best practices for error and performance management.
- Create educational content, such as blog posts, videos, and tutorials, to help customers get the most out of Sentry's tools.
- Work with the product and development teams to provide feedback and help shape the company's product roadmap.
- Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions to help customers drive the maturity of use and broader adoption of Sentry's products.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for customers, providing guidance on software engineering and monitoring best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and sales collateral to support the sales team.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer.
- Hands-on experience working with programming languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, and React Native.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
- Experience working with customers to identify and resolve errors, and implement best practices for error and performance management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, error and performance management, and monitoring best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with open-source software and contributing to open-source projects.
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
- Certification in a relevant field, such as software engineering or computer science.
