About the Role
The Technical Success team at OpenAI is responsible for ensuring that customers, ranging from early-stage startups to established global enterprises, maximize the benefits and value of the company's AI models. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in partnering with the largest Financial Services customers to achieve tangible business value from OpenAI's suite of products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve guiding senior business stakeholders in understanding their pre-sales needs, identifying high-value use cases, and recommending architectural patterns to kickstart implementation and development.The role requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders. You will work closely with the Financial Services and Large Enterprise Sales, Security, and Product teams to deliver an exceptional pre-sales customer experience and demonstrate the value of OpenAI's solutions.
What You Will Do
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to understand their pre-sales needs and guide their AI strategy
- Identify high-value use cases and applications for OpenAI's AI models
- Demonstrate the value of OpenAI's solutions and recommend architectural patterns to kickstart implementation and development
- Deliver an exceptional pre-sales customer experience for large Financial Services prospects and customers
- Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs related to common questions and requirements discovered during the pre-sales process
- Develop and nurture strong customer relationships during the evaluation, validation, and purchasing process
- Foster customer advocacy and represent the voice of the customer with internal teams
- Serve as the first line of defense for security and compliance questions
- Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams and incorporate it into product planning
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or similar role, including 3+ years selling to Financial Services customers
- Thorough understanding of IT security principles and customer requirements for technical B2B SaaS products
- Foundational training in programming languages like Python or Javascript
- Experience delivering prototypes of Generative AI/traditional ML solutions and knowledge of network/cloud architecture
- Effective presenter and communicator who can translate business and technical topics to all audiences
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and pick up whatever knowledge is missing to get the job done
- Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed
