About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer II at Akamai, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expansion in the Swiss region. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs. With a focus on cybersecurity and cloud technologies, you will become a trusted advisor to your clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the digital landscape.The role is part of Akamai's presales team, which means you will be working closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals that showcase the value of Akamai's solutions. You will also collaborate with the engineering and business teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that Akamai's products are aligned with market demands.

What You Will Do
- Lead revenue growth and expansion in the Swiss region by developing and delivering innovative solutions to customers
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that meet their evolving needs
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Akamai's products and technologies, including cloud and cybersecurity solutions
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals that showcase the value of Akamai's solutions
- Collaborate with the engineering and business teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that Akamai's products are aligned with market demands
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and demos to customers and prospects
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud and cybersecurity technologies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a presales or technical role, preferably in the cloud and cybersecurity industry
- Strong understanding of cloud and internet technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and web architecture
- Experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions, including WAF, DDoS protection, and zero-trust architectures

- Knowledge of DevOps and Agile development methodologies
- Certification in cloud or cybersecurity technologies, such as AWS or CISSP
