About the Role
The Technical Success team at Openai plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective deployment of ChatGPT and OpenAI API applications for developers and enterprises. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be part of this team, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner for customers, helping them maximize the value from Openai's models and products. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with senior business stakeholders to understand pre-sales needs, guiding AI strategy, and identifying high-value use cases and applications. You will also collaborate with business and technical teams to demonstrate the value of Openai's solutions and recommend architectural patterns.The role is based in Madrid and offers the opportunity to work with a variety of industries, transforming their businesses through solutions such as customer service, automated content generation, and novel applications utilizing the newest and most exciting AI models. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering exceptional pre-sales customer experiences, providing technical expertise, and outlining the value proposition of Openai's technologies.
What You Will Do
- Deliver exceptional pre-sales customer experiences through technical expertise and value proposition outlining.
- Demonstrate how leveraging ChatGPT and the OpenAI API can meet customers' business needs, delivering substantial business value through demos, scoping use cases, and recommending architecture patterns.
- Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs related to common questions and requirements discovered during the pre-sales process.
- Foster customer advocacy by gathering and relaying customer feedback, identifying themes across customers, and incorporating them into product planning.
- Serve as the first line of defense for security and compliance questions, explaining standardized collateral and guiding customers toward relevant resources.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Security, and Product teams to ensure aligned efforts and maximize customer value.
- Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of Openai's products and services.
- Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends.
- Represent Openai at industry events and conferences, promoting its products and services.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations.
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.
- A thorough understanding of IT security principles and customer requirements for technical B2B SaaS products.
- Experience providing higher-level security and compliance support.
- Industry experience in programming languages like Python or Javascript and working with REST APIs.
- Experience delivering prototypes of Generative AI/traditional ML solutions and knowledge of network/cloud architecture.
- Effective presentation and communication skills to translate business and technical topics to all audiences.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and a willingness to acquire missing knowledge.
- A humble attitude, an eagerness to help colleagues, and a desire to contribute to team success.

- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies beyond basic principles.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
