About the Role

The Solutions Engineer role at Stytch is a pivotal position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers. Day-to-day, you will be working closely with prospective customers to understand their authentication needs, design solutions, and lead technical evaluations. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of remote work while also requiring in-office collaboration 2-3 days a week. The team you will be joining is highly collaborative, and your input will be invaluable in driving the product forward.

As a Solutions Engineer, your work will have a direct impact on the growth and success of Stytch's customer base. You will be serving as the technical subject matter expert, working closely with the customer's engineering team to ensure a smooth evaluation process. What You Will Do

  • Lead technical customer conversations to identify, qualify, and address customers' authentication use cases, requirements, and constraints.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate the business and technical value of Stytch's authentication platform.
  • Lead technical demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) of Stytch's authentication platform to prospective customers.
  • Codify learnings from customer deployments into repeatable implementation methodologies and playbooks.
  • Develop technical domain expertise in authentication and authorization concepts and policies such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • Partner with the Product organization to help shape the roadmap based on prospect and customer feedback, challenges, and growth drivers.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the field of user authentication and anti-fraud tooling.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering and product teams on new features and improvements based on customer interactions.
  • Assist in the development of technical content such as blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies to showcase Stytch's expertise.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels, from CTO to software engineer.
  • Grit, tenacity, curiosity, and drive to find solutions that work for customers and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
  • Ability to read and write code; familiarity with modern web services and APIs is essential.
  • Experience with authentication protocols (SAML/OAuth), MFA, and IdP is highly desirable.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth environment and helping to build processes and tools as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
