About the Role
The Sr Accessibility Product Manager role at RELX is a critical position that requires leading the accessibility program for a broad portfolio of Clinical Solutions products. This role involves ensuring that these products meet evolving accessibility standards and support the needs of a diverse user base. Day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, assessing current compliance postures, and driving the program forward to achieve its goals.The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, compliance, and customer trust. They will be expected to set strategy, oversee execution, and guide teams to embed accessibility into product development practices. This position operates with high visibility and contributes directly to product quality, compliance, and customer trust.
Working closely with product managers, engineers, and designers, the Sr Accessibility Product Manager will build and maintain the portfolio-level remediation roadmap across a large suite of products. They will also coordinate a distributed network of accessibility champions embedded in product teams, setting direction, maintaining standards, and keeping execution coherent across teams.
What You Will Do
- Own the Accessibility Program: Assess the current compliance posture, identify gaps, and drive the program from where it is to where it needs to be.
- Conformance Documentation: Own conformance documentation (VPATs/ACRs) across all active products, ensuring everything is current, accurate, and ready for enterprise procurement.
- Partner with Legal: Collaborate with Legal on ADA Title III obligations, contractual commitments, and customer inquiries.
- Stay Ahead of the Legal Landscape: Keep abreast of the legal and regulatory landscape, including enforcement trends, emerging state statutes, and international equivalents for the global customer base.
- Build and Maintain the Portfolio-Level Remediation Roadmap: Drive cross-functional execution to embed accessibility into how products are built.
- Coordinate Accessibility Champions: Work with a distributed network of accessibility champions to set direction, maintain standards, and ensure coherent execution across teams.
- Triage Accessibility Issues: Own triage for incoming accessibility issues from customers, audits, and legal, driving them to resolution.
- Extend Coverage to Content Accessibility: Ensure that clinical content, educational materials, and PDFs meet accessibility standards.
- Define Metrics and Report: Create metrics to measure program success and report against them consistently.
- Build Visibility and Capability: Define standards and guidance to raise baseline accessibility capability across product and engineering teams.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 6 years in product management, with at least 2 years owning a digital accessibility or compliance program at a product-led company.
- Deep working knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA Title III as applied to web and mobile software products.
- Experience producing and defending VPATs / Accessibility Conformance Reports in an enterprise B2B context.
- Proven ability to inherit an existing program, assess its maturity honestly, and drive measurable improvement.
- Experience coordinating distributed ownership models, influencing without direct authority.
- Technical fluency sufficient for credible conversations with front-end engineers on ARIA patterns, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and screen reader behavior.
- Experience navigating Legal stakeholders and accessibility-related procurement and contractual requirements.
- Strong Preference for background in health tech, SaaS, or enterprise software with a large, heterogeneous product portfolio.
- Experience with content accessibility, including alt text, closed captioning, PDF remediation, and authoring tools.

- Experience with accessibility in clinical content, educational materials, and PDFs.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in accessibility.
- Certification in accessibility or a related field.
- Experience with international accessibility standards and regulations.
