About the Role
The Senior Accounting Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the financial operations of Outsource Access run smoothly and efficiently. This is a remote position that requires a high level of autonomy, expertise in managing financial workflows, and excellent communication skills. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for owning the financial workflow, mastering the billing lifecycle, driving clean month-end closes, and optimizing and protecting the company's financial support structure.The role involves working closely with the executive team to provide financial clarity and operational continuity, enabling the company to scale with confidence. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy professional with expertise in Salesforce, Excel, and other financial software applications.
What You Will Do
- Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Execute flawless reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking and accounting of every dollar
- Navigate client invoicing through Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and other billing portals
- Prepare working papers, bank reconciliations, and audit support documentation
- Maintain W9 compliance and refine accounting SOPs to build a more resilient financial support structure
- Collaborate with executives to provide financial insights and support
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues related to financial data
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and regulatory requirements
- Provide professional and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- 7-10 years of U.S. accounting experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations, data analysis, and complex formulas
- Hands-on experience with platforms like Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Rippling
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial regulations
- Autonomous leadership skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly reliable, distraction-free remote work setup
- Ability to work full-time Eastern Time (EST) hours
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Rippling or similar financial software applications
- Certification in accounting or a related field
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
