About the Role
As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer at DoorDash, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's data infrastructure and driving business intelligence initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data pipelines, architectures, and tools that enable data-driven decision making. Your expertise in data modeling, API integration, and AI architecture will be essential in driving the company's growth and scalability.The Business Intelligence team at DoorDash is a collaborative and business-first team that partners closely with every department to ensure information is accessible, accurate, and actionable. As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the data products, pipelines, and infrastructure that power decision making across the organization.
You will report into the Manager of Business Intelligence on the Data & Analytics Team under the Strategy & Operations - In-Store organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex data projects, drive business growth, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
What You Will Do
- Establish new API connections to external data sources and integrate them into the company's data ecosystem
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures that enable data-driven decision making
- Architect and implement automated AI flows that expand productivity across teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data governance frameworks
- Work closely with the SevenRooms team to integrate their data ecosystem into the broader DoorDash organization
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and reporting tools to enable data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with the data science team to develop and deploy AI models that drive business growth
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and architectures that enable real-time data processing and analytics
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with DBT and at least 1 year owning and architecting production-grade data pipelines end-to-end
- 4+ years of experience with a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode
- Demonstrated SQL mastery and 2+ years of Python experience applied to real-world data challenges
- Experience deploying or launching AI models in a business context
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as BigQuery, Fivetran, Census, and Cloud Functions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders across the organization

- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms such as Google Cloud AI Platform or Amazon SageMaker
